Mini Sessions

These are 20-minute outdoor sessions for immediate families of 5 or less, and include 20-25 high-resolution digital images (available for direct download). Mini-sessions take place in the west end of Toronto (location is confirmed the week prior) The fee for a mini-session is $325.

Sessions will take place on Sat Sept 26, Sat Oct 3, Sun Oct 4 and Sat Oct 24.

How do I book a session? Email me with your preferred time/date (and a second choice). I will confirm via email your confirmed spot. The full fee is due upon booking to reserve your spot. Last year these sessions booked up quickly resulting in a wait list so don't delay!

What if we are not feeling well the day of the session? What is your policy for Covid-19?

If you or a member of your family has any symptoms of illness, or you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, your session will either be re-booked to a different date or your session fee will be refunded.

The same goes for me! If myself or one of my family members has any symptoms of illness or we find out that we have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, your session will either be re-booked to a different date or your session fee will be refunded.

Where do the sessions take place?  Mini-sessions will be located in the west end of the city in a park-like setting. Location and details are confirmed the week prior to the date.

I'm worried my kids might not behave... My best advice for parents is to relax and have fun and to not worry about smiling for the camera. The best thing you can do to keep the session moving smoothly is to engage your children with silly jokes, games, tickling, cuddling, songs, etc. If they are being little buggers, just laugh it off. Please don't offer food or drink during the session (save these as treats for after we are finished). 

I'm worried about only having 20 minutes for the session. What if my kids don't cooperate during that time? Depending on the size of your family and your life-stage, it might be a better fit for you to do a full session, which offers flexibility for timing, location and breaks. If you're not sure what's best for your family, send me a note and we can figure it out together. 

What if it rains? In the event of inclement weather, your session will either be re-booked to a different date or your session fee will be refunded.

What is included in the fee? The fee covers your 20-minute outdoor session as well 20–25 high resolution digital files. Within 4 weeks, you will receive a link to an online, password-protected gallery where your images will be available for direct download for 6 weeks.

What happens if we need to cancel? Email me and we will figure out an alternate plan for your session. While I generally do not offer refunds without valid reasons, these are crazy times and I am more than happy to reschedule if necessary or make exceptions due to circumstances. I’m a mom, I get it.

These sessions are always a hit and I can't wait to spend time with some of my favourite families and to meet new ones too!

I am excited to announce that I am now booking mini-sessions for this fall! (along with family, newborn and maternity sessions of course!). But because there are limited spots and they are only offered on select dates, the mini-sessions tend to book up quickly. Interested?? Details are below!

The session is personalized to suit your family – together we decide on the location that works best for you, but often we start at your home and then move on to a nearby park (or vice versa). Newborn Sessions

Newborn sessions typically take place within the first two weeks after baby arrives and are most often scheduled for a weekday morning or afternoon.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween. Despite the chilly weather and rain, my girls were troopers and enjoyed both giving out candy at our door and traveling around the neighbourhood to fill their bags. Today's post features a session from back in September. Elizabeth is an artist who I met at a local mom's group (MumNet for anyone who is interested!).  I've really enjoyed her friendship the past few years, as well as photographing her family.

Stef, Ryan, a house reno + Bump | Toronto Maternity Photographer

"I think I'm in labour " my long-time friend Stef texted to me. By long-time, I'm talking about 20 years. We met in ballet class when I was 10. I texted something back along the lines of "I'll check in with you in a few hours but lets plan to go ahead". I wasn't going to let a few contractions get in the way of her photo session. Stef and Ryan welcomed their baby boy into the world about 40 hours later.

With so much on their plate, including both a house renovation and Stef's labour pains, it was a wonder that they were able to pull it together and have me over to capture this time for them. I am so glad they did, and I hope they are too. It's the real-life stuff that I love to document, the not-so-perfect times that stick in our memories.

I photographed this family when they had their first baby girl and it was wonderful to see them again as they welcomed a second baby girl into their family.
