Fall 2017! Family + Mini Sessions

I am excited to announce that I am now booking mini-sessions for this fall! (along with family, newborn and maternity sessions of course!). But because there are limited spots and they are only offered on select dates, the mini-sessions tend to book up quickly. Interested?? Details are below!

Mini Sessions

These are 20-minute outdoor sessions for immediate families of 5 or less and include 15-20 high resolution digital images (available for direct download). Mini-sessions take place in the west end of Toronto (location is confirmed the week prior) and sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. $300

To reserve a spot, send me an email or fill out the online contact form. Please include your preferred date/time as well as a second choice.  

** The remaining mini session dates are fully booked, however there are sometimes last-minute cancellations or shuffling that happens. It's best to email me to be kept in the loop if a spot opens up :-) **

Mini Session fine print and FAQ's:

How do I book a session? Email me with your preferred time/date (and a second choice). I will confirm via email your confirmed spot. The full fee is due upon booking to reserve your spot. Last year these sessions booked up quickly resulting in a wait list so don't delay!

Where do the sessions take place? Mini-sessions will be located in the west end of the city in a park-like setting. Location and details are confirmed two weeks prior to the date.

I'm worried my kids might not behave... My best advice for parents is to relax and have fun and to not worry about smiling for the camera. The best thing you can do is engage your children with silly jokes, games, tickling, cuddling, songs, etc. If they are being little buggers, just laugh it off. Please don't offer food or drink during the session (save these as treats for after we are finished). 

I'm worried about only having 20 minutes for the session. What if my kids don't cooperate during that time? Depending on the size of your family and your life-stage, it might be a better fit for you to do a full session (see below), which offers flexibility for timing, location and breaks. If you're not sure what's best for your family, send me a note and we can figure it out together. 

What if it rains? In the event of inclement weather, your session will be held at the same time on the specified rain date. 

What is included in the fee? The fee covers your 20-minute outdoor session. Within 4 weeks, you will receive a link to an online, password-protected gallery where your images will be available for direct download until December 31, 2017. 

Can I order prints? Of course! The digital files from your session are included in the fee, however you will also have the option to order prints directly from your online gallery. These can be shipped directly to your home. 

Can my mom (dad, aunt, sister, etc.) order prints? Yep, you can share your gallery and password with anyone you choose and they can order prints or download the digital files. 

What happens if we need to cancel? Email me and we will figure out an alternate plan for your session. While I do not offer refunds, I am more than happy to reschedule if necessary. 

Family, extended-family, maternity and newborn sessions 

These sessions typically take place in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening and generally last 1-2 hours, allowing for breaks and flexibility. The session is personalized to suit your family – together we decide on the location that works best for you, but often we start at your home and then move on to a nearby park (or vice versa).

I recently had a chance to catch up with this lovely lady and I realized that I hadn't blogged this session from last spring. Needless to say, the babes in these photos are a whole year older now. It's just another reminder of how quickly time is passing by! I'll never get tired of photographing this sweet family.  Stef's maternity session can be seen here.

It's finally starting to feel like spring. As the days get longer and the sun shines, I am longing to get back out there with my camera and lovely families like this one. We had a wonderful morning together in the early morning sun at one of their favourite spots in the city – Evergreen Brick Works.
